Episode 43

I Deleted the Message Before She Could See It

Published on: 6th April, 2026

The message appeared on his phone,

and he removed it before it could be noticed.

Ethan was sitting with his partner late in the evening.

Not talking much.

Just sharing the same space.

His phone lit up on the table.

A name he hadn’t seen in a while.

Someone from before.

Nothing unresolved.

Just history.

He opened the message.

“Was thinking about you earlier.”

There was nothing explicit in it.

But it carried context.

Enough to require explanation.

His partner was still beside him.

Unaware.

Ethan turned the phone slightly.

Then pressed and held the message.

Deleted it.

The screen cleared.

The moment passed.

They continued the evening as normal.

Watched something.

Talked about work.

Made plans for the weekend.

Nothing had changed.

Not externally.

But Ethan knew something had shifted.

He had removed a detail before it could exist.

Weeks later, when his partner used his phone, he noticed a pause in himself.

Not fear.

Just awareness.

Of the version of events they were both living inside.

Complete.

But not entirely true.

About the Podcast

confessions.
Daily short confessions about guilt, regret and hidden truths.
Confessions is a short-form storytelling podcast about the things people never planned to say out loud.

Each episode is a single, anonymous confession; moments of guilt, regret, relief, or quiet truth; shared without judgement or spectacle.

These are not dramatic revelations or public apologies. They are ordinary people admitting to choices they still think about, words they never said, or moments that changed how they see themselves.

Episodes are brief and self-contained. A private voice. A single truth. Left with the listener to sit with.
